I'm sorry to hear you're not happy with the delay in filling your order, but let me give you a little insight as to how busy I am. I work 7 days a week, oftentimes 14-16 hours a day. I am a one-man shop - that means I do every little thing that there is to do - from cutting leather, to gluing, to sewing, to finishing, to invoicing, to mailing, to ordering supplies, to ordering new equipment to ensure there's the best possible holster made for you. I take out the trash, I answer the phone, I answer the email, I visit a number of gun forums to see what folks are interested in. There are a huge number of other things that get done that are too many to mention here.
I did have an order from the Navy SEALs - to the tune of $2,000+ to fill. It came in before yours, so that makes it get done first before yours. I don't put one order ahead of another just because they're a gun shop, or a gun magazine writer, or a Chief of Police - everyone falls into place. I average a large number of holsters, belts and magazine pouches, and a number of other accessories every month. For the last three months I've been trying to finish off the shop, i.e., hang insulation, put up dry wall, tape it, paint it. That all gets done in between filling all the orders mentioned above. I know that once that's finished, things will run a bit smoother.
There are some things that come up during the day that need attention. For example, I recently had the opportunity to buy a Union Lockstitch machine at less than half the price it normally sells for. But I had to go over to Orlando to take a look at it - that's about an hour's drive from me, two hours round trip, plus the time to look at what equipment he had (a warehouse full). So I made the trip over one morning and was still back in the shop by 9:00 am. My point is, and any of the holster guys can tell you this, when opportunities like that come along - you try not to pass them up. Again, this was done in my desire to try and get the best possible equipment to make the best possible holster that I can. And along those lines, I don't let a holster or item leave the shop if I'm not happy with it. I have very high expectations of what an item should be, and the basic standard is whether or not I would be happy with it if I were the customer. If the answer is yes, then it leaves; if the answer is no, then it gets redone.
I have not taken a day off (including the holidays) since October when I had a heart attack, and we had a hurricane come through. And even then it was only for a couple of days. I'm not complaining about it by any means, because I truly enjoy what I have the opportunity to do.
I admit that I've fallen behind for turnaround time. If you (or anyone else) would like to cancel their order because of it, I would certainly understand - no hard feelings.
And if you wish to question my integrity in the future, I would prefer it done through email or PMs. Though I have nothing to hide here if you wish to make it public.
