I have had good use out of the Uncle Mikes Nylon ankle holsters.

    Get the best - Kramer.

Kramer Handgun Leather: Revolver holsters, concealment holsters, paddle holster, 1911 holster, ankle holster

I can tell you from personal experience that their ankle rig is a keeper. With a gun the size and weight of the Bobcat, you should have no problem with slip-down and the sheepskin lining makes it blissfully comfortable to wear.

The holster does seem overpriced until you've been wearing it for a while, after which I think you'll agree that $230.00 is well worth it. But, then again, frequenting forums like this has left me doubting whether anything at all is not relative in the gun world, so don't blame me if you buy it and think it's the worst holster ever. I find it hard to believe you will, though.

Mitch Rosen also makes an ankle rig, though I don't have one and, to my recollection, have never read a review of it.

Is there a reason that you're limited to an ankle holster?

My apologies in advance for not answering your question, but could a pocket holster be an option? More secure, much easier access, and no long pants required.

    There is.
With a duty belt already full of everything but the kitchen sink, the ankle is about all that's left open. Besides, if I draw this thing out, it means my primary duty gun is either getting stripped or has already been taken so all bets are off. Getting my hands on my ankle in a fight might be easier than trying to pull a gun out of a pocket while I'm rolling on the ground. I also picked the bobcat because it will contact shoot without going out of battery like a Glock or 1911 style of gun will.
And, finally I'm too old for shorts in public....

I should have added that I'm also getting a pocket holster for just my time off stuff. Ankle is for duty carry.

Many moons ago, I was considering ankle carry... I have no idea why, since the only handgun I had was a 1911 and I don't wear bell-bottoms. Research then indicated that Ken Null's ankle rig was highly thought of.

The 21s can be surprisingly accurate, too.
