I ordered my Brigade C-11 on Feb. 27th 2008...I still do not have it. They told me 18 to 21 weeks when I ordered it.
Its been over 6 months (25+ weeks). Since they do not reply to emails or update their web site, its hard to tell when I might get it... I guess since they haven't charged me yet, I can't gripe too much.

I remember Troy saying in a different board that he doesn't pay much attention to emails so try calling him. He answers for the most part and is very helpful on the phone. Not an excuse for not replying to emails but this should work.

I always read on here that people can never get ahold of Brigade all the time. But on the 2 occasions that I had to call them, they picked up both times. I don't know if I lucked out both times or not, but I've had no trouble reaching Brigade.

I've not had any luck getting ahold of them...The only contact I've had was the email I got when I first ordered my holster back in Feb...
I sure hope they haven't forgotten about me and lost my order slip or something?

Brigade has updated their website...! Said they were working on Jan & Feb orders.
I called and finally got ahold of Troy, (The Pres of the Company) He said that my holster should be done in a couple of weeks!

    I feel a little better...
Hopefully I'll be able to post pictures of my Shark Trim beauty soon!

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but Brigade does have a limited number of holsters ready to ship, viewable on their site. Most are for 1911's and variations and of course you have to take them as offered (no personal options), but they do ship immediately. Cost (which includes mag holder) is significant, $300+.

Good for you! I called this morning and was able to talk to Troy and thank him and give him my feedback.

"The acrylic coating used over the leather seems rub off a little too easily, making it easy to nick or scuff the top coat. Don't mistake this for poor or soft leather, the leather is top notch, it's just the top coat of acrylic that seems to be too light."

I'm not sure it's acrylic or not but I'm glad to see it wear away. I go au-natural and don't wear underwear. That coating would literally glue the holster to my skin in short order.

Funny you mention that....I just asked Troy about the coating on his holsters (yes, they are not acrylic, some sort of hybrid coating) and he mentioned that what is actually scuffing isn't the coating but the wax coat over the coating.

Anyway, another thing I noticed is how light my gun feels w/ this holster. Per Troy, this is due to the friction between my underwear/skin and holster. This friction actually helps hold the gun up and prevent it from pulling on my belt w/ the rig's full weight. I found this pretty neat actually; I have holsters that have much better looking top coats but I've found them to be too smooth/slick and they tend to slide and tug on my pants.

I hope that makes sense.... :)
