BUG in DeSantis Nemesis comes out of pocket WITH the gun
I just got a DeSantis Nemesis holster to pocket carry my P-3AT. When I go to draw from my pocket the holster is coming out with the gun. Not good. I ordered the Nemesis because I had read so many good posts about it and that it stayed in pocket. The rubbery coating on the outside is SUPPOSED to keep it in the pocket but it isn't. This is in a standard pair of Wrangler jeans. Anyone have this same problem or a solution?

What pocket are you carrying in? Front pocket or back pocket?

Strange, my first suggestion is to contact who ever you ordered it from and try and return it. my only other suggestion would be to get some rubber bands and add a layer or two to the outside of the holster to give it more mass in the pocket allowing it to make better contact with material of the jeans and keep the holster from coming out with the gun.

I've never had this problem with the Nemesis. What I would suggest is to push and pull the P3AT in and out of the holster (unloaded!) to stretch it a little.
Also when drawing, rather than coming straight up out of the pocket, try pulling a little rearward as you draw; the little flap should catch the back of the pocket opening and stay put.

Rubber bands is a good idea. Or you could attach a thin band of skateboard tape.

If you're NOT going to try and return it, you may also take some rubbing alcohol and wipe down the outside of it. It may have picked up some foreign substance that is making it slick. On all the Nemesis holsters I have, I actually have to make an effort to get them out of the pocket.

I paid $15 each, one for me and one for my wife. Shipping was almost $10. By the time I returned them I will have spent almost $20 to try out $30 worth of gear. Doesn't seem worth it to return them. SO, I'll try out some ideas.

mine tried the same thing......put the gun in the holster for a few days and let it conform to it.

Super Fly
The form factor for the Super Fly has the same form factor as the Nemesis. It is also supposed to have a "stickier" coating to help with pocket retention. I am sufficiently satisfied with my Super Fly for my LCP that I just ordered a new one to accommodate the Crimson Trace laser I also just ordered for it.

I carry my 642 in my front pocket in a Nemisis and have never encountered the problem of it coming out when I draw.

Check out the Fist kydex #5 pocket holster...note the thumb push tip...the perfect solution for making sure the gun comes out EVERY time and NOT the holster.
See Fist holsters in the 'Related Links' above...you won't be sorry.

I find that a slight rearward "drag" as I draw ensures perfect release every time.
It's just a practice thing.
