Most people can't go wrong with a Milt Sparks VM2
When I think of a good concealed holster, the K&D Dakota Defender or M-Tac comes to mind. For OWB there are a ton of choices.
I carry a 1911 45 in a crossbreed IWB holster and forget it's there
+1 for the M-TAC. You easily forget its there, and their customer service is outstanding..
I just got my MTAC recently, and definitely A+ for service. I made a call during the wait time to adjust something and it was taken care of with no problems. Also had it to my door in less than two weeks.Quote:

Another kudos for M-Tac Minotaur. Comfortable and adjustable and the kydex is changeable for different guns. You wont wait long for it but it isnt a cheap holster by some standards.
Do you want to carry IWB or OWB? You didnt say.
Friend of mine is about your size ( maybe a bit larger ) and he carries a colt defender in a desantis paddle ( nylon ) owb at about 4 o'clock. You cant tell he's carrying at all.
The K&D Dakota Defender works best for me.
+1 for the MTAC have it on right now, barely feel my 2lb S&W40c on strong side.
