    SIG Tactical Carry Garment

Just curious if any forum members bought one of these & if they would review it for the forum.
I know absolutely nothing about it.
I know that the retail is expensive at $129.00 MSRP but, I've been seeing them pop up on Ebay for right about $60.00
(Still seems expensive to me piced at $60)

Sure looks a bit better than a Shoot Me First Photographers Vest though.

To be honest I have a jacket with an inside pocket like that which I CCW in when it's frosty enough. I can't imagine paying $60 for that when careful department store shopping will yield the same results.

saw 1. I guess if ya want to carry in the coat. Personally, I find the pocket to ride too far out for me, and the gun is off body if you take it off. The contruction seems good. The design is nice. The price I saw was near $100.

    Question Ditto: Euc...but,

Let me see if I can find their web page and I'll see if there is anything ULTRA special about it that makes it worth EITHER $129.00 or $60.00 ~ I honestly don't know at this point in time.

Potentially useful - for some folks maybe.

I'll still stick to usual rig and front of whatever I am wearing not done up - reckon my draw will be faster that way than from a jacket. Tho - maybe possible to have hand on gun early but, chances are that might look same as reaching to a sho rig, which in fact I'd prefer too as another (secondary) option this time of year.

Post OK From The SIG Site

And their price is $99.00 & not $129.00 like that bull$hitter on Ebay stated.

"This sturdy, yet stylish, coat has been tailored for everyday wear. Its made of 100% heavy weight cotton canvas and is set off by a smooth nubuck leather collar. Lined with 300 gram anti-pill fleece and lightly garment washed, this coat keeps you warm while allowing for easy movement. SigTac® added ambidextrous internal pistol pockets for concealed carry to keep you on guard. Color: Tobacco Brown. Sizes S to XXXL. NOTE ON SIZING: This jacket is a full cut from the factory and you may want to consider a size down if your usual size is roomy."

And this does not seem like it's much more than a heavy shirt w/ a fleece lining.

Here is a thought: it could possibly be useful if it will accommadate a full size 1911 or something. The biggest gun I can coat carry in my jacket not specifically designed for that is my 4" XD.

It has gotten some good reviews over on the SIG forum. They have also said it runs large (buy one size smaller).

That jacket will conceal a full size 1911. I bought the denim jacket version. Both are offered at www.magills.com.
I can conceal my USP full size, Browning Hi Power, or 1911 in the pocket of the jacket and no one can tell.
It has an elastic holster in the pocket that holds the gun securely into place. The pockets on the denim jacket then zip shut. There is also a 2nd denim pocket between the holster and the outer layer of denim that will hold maps or gloves, and give an extra layer of concealment. I love mine.

When I first emailed them with questions, Mr Magill himself responded. I'm quite impressed with them in general so far.

This might be something for a motorcycle rider to consider. You can put the weapon in the right side pocket for a left handed draw, which is needed when your right hand is on the right handle accelerator. Something to think about.

I wish they would make one in a polar fleece-lined nylon jacket in a dark color....

Check out 5.11 coats, they are pricey though.
