    Ordered a Few Holsters

I'm rolling with a Glock 30 SF for off duty carry and figured I needed some custom leather. I already have my Beltman Horside gunbelt enroute. Saw a few holsters..couldn't decide wich one, so I ordered two holsters; Bulman high ride and El Paso Saddlery "crosshair".

Bullman: Love the vertical draw, 1.5" belt cut, and high ride.

El Paso Saddlery Crosshair: Ordered the suede lining and like the 1.5" belt cut, and the tension adjustable fit.

    Honorable mentions:

    Kramer: Damned nice looking holster

Kirkpatrick: Almost went with this one...

Your two choices are mighty nice.

That Bullman looks interesting. Looks like it would ride really high. I wonder how stable it will be. I look forward to your reports.

Any idea what Bulman's wait period is?

Yeah, I thought that too, but when I started comparing some other holsters...it might not be all THAT high. Oh well, we will certanly see. I did see a Mitch Rosen upper limits in the photo thread...this looks exactly like it, and the photo of the DC member looked promising.

I went with the Kirkpatrick. Liked it so much I went back for two more. Unfortunately, in the short week I was evaluating the first one there was a price increase.

If I didn't like the first one they probably wouldn't have raised the price. Why does it always work that way?

Very long waits for Josh's leather. I am at a 7 month wait right now. He states at least 6 months but people have seen 1 year plus waits. His leather is worth it. IMHO he is the 2nd best leather craftsman behind Matt Del Fatti who no longer takes orders.

I'd go with the Kramer or the Rosen myself.

Not knocking Bulman, never had one of his Holsters. I just know what the wait times are on the other two, and what I will be getting from Kramer and Rosen, as I've got some of their work. Another one to check out is Milt Sparks. They are sitting at 6 months, and the most accurate I've found in delivering when quoted.

    25 weeks

El Paso Saddlery is 4-6 weeks.

Lead time seems to change day to day. IMO, Bulman was tough to deal with. Never again for me. Go with the Rosen or Sherrick high rides.

    Cancelled the Bulman.

El Paso Saddlery is being dragged through the mud online about holster fit, quality, delivery time lags, and customer service...might cancel that as well...

SO...looks like I'm down to horsehide Kramer scabbard!

If you like the vertical cant (That's how I like my rigs), I would go with Mitch Rosen's UPL express. He has quick turnaround on the express line and IMHO is a better holster than Kramer. For the price, I am not impressed with Kramer's boning but I must admit, his leather is super tough.

Thanks for the heads up on that Express line! I'm cancelling all others and running with that!

Be glad you canceled the Bulman order. I'm still waiting on 1)my holster, 2)an email response, 3)a phone call returned or 4)my money back. I placed my order WELLLLLLLLL over a year ago and since the first reply thanking me for my order have not heard a single word from him and he will not answer his phone nor reply to several emails sent to him.

I don't care how great he is at making holsters, when he is holding several hundred dollars of my money and dosent have the common respect to pick up his phone then the man has issues.

Wow! Its a great looking holster, but what good if it never comes, right!

Change 101: Kirkpatrick had my G30 TSS holster in stock and shipped. Should have it in a few days. The lady on the phone was very helpful and prompt!

Her:"Yeah, I'll check the shelves, call you back"
    Me: Thinking, "O...K..."
Her: 5 mintues later calls me, "Yep we have it in stock"
Me: "Here is my billing info!" "Law enforcement Discount!...cool!"
