    New to CCW-Fist #3 & Smart Carry

Hi everyone...I'll be getting my CCW in a month or so and I am in need of your advice and suggestions. I need to carry a Sig P239 .40 cal. in the deepest concealment possible. I'm thinking of having a Fist #3 Deep Concealment holster made for this gun. Anyone have any experience with a #3 and if so, do you think the P239 would carry OK? Thanks for any input you may have. I am also thinking of a Smart Carry...what do you all think?

Only my opinion, but I would think that you might find a Fist tuck-able a bit more comfortable and easier to get to...I tend to see things like a KelTec .32 or a .380 in that type of holster.
But what the heck, that's what holster boxes are for.
Proverbs 27:12 says: “The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.”

I carry my Taurus PT145 in a smartcarry all the time with no problems. The only thing you can see when wearing it is the end of the grip, but you can stick that behind a belt if you feel the need (I never have). I can easily tuck in a shirt with no printing either. I don't find it any slower to draw from than my Mtac. Some people can't get around having a gun down the front of their pants, but as long as you don't plan on drawing by the trigger, you shouldn't have any problems.

I too have the SmartCarry for my PT145 and love it. At first I was carrying it too high but once I found out where it was comfortable I was very pleased. I wear it all day long with no problems.

    j21 blaackjack,

Try carrying it lower and I think the imprinting will completely go away for you. If you have it high enough to go behind your belt it's DEFINITELY too high. I also think you will find it much more comfortable when warn lower.
