    SmartCarry

There is also thunderware, but most here seem to prefer the smartcarry.

You'll find all sorts of opinion on this question.

I don't have one, but have been giving serious consideration to getting one. My son swears by his and uses it daily for office carry.

Lots of threads on SmartCarry. Bottom line is your holster drawer needs one.

I normally carry IWB or OWB, but occasionally use and recommend SmartCarry for certain activities like tennis or running; while doing sweaty things I don't like to wear a thick heavy belt.

While standing it's easy for me to forget I am wearing it. Sitting is OK too, but when I rise from a seated position, sometimes it gigs me in the thigh.

SmartCarry is a love / hate relationship... you either love it or hate it!

Of course, your build and what you put in your SmartCarry makes all the difference in the world. I use mine when total concealment is a must. I have carried a Glock 27 and spare magazine but prefer my S&W 640 and a speed strip.

I like mine, after I cut half the width off of the back! The stiff part on the velcro would dig into my waist. I am going to replace it with more of the elastic and a smaller piece of velcro.

    Smartcarry Question

I have the Smartcarry, an am considering using it for a full size 1911. As I am right-handed, it would ride with the thumb safety against my body. Would any of you have safety concerns about accidental discharge? I have read that these concerns are unwarranted with the multiple safety systems, but it still worries me. Thoughts?

I have the "large" SmartCarry. I wear it around the house, usually under my sweat pants (godda be comfy ). It works well in the recommended position, but I often wear it to the side, about 3 o'clock or so. That works a little better with sitting on a couch, at least for me. Very comfortable all around, I'd recommend it.

I have a Thunderwear in Med. size that I carry my Glock 27 in, etc.. items also. I can and will wear it anywhere, and yes they are comfy. I took at 8 hour road trip(Driving), and didn't notice the thing on me. That says something about the holster/rig also I think..

Glock27/ KaBar TDI/ MTAC Holster. I have more also, but this combination works well..

    Smartcarry

Yes, aside from the access issue with reaching under your belt, it is a great holster in terms of concealment and comfort. I use it frequently with a Glock 19 and an SP101. That's why I'd like to use one for my 1911, as I have yet to find a system that is comfortable that conceals it well in t-shirt land (It's a S&W with an 8 rnd clip) Love the gun, just kind of huge...
