    Same M-Tac for different guns

I have an M-Tac on the way for my XD SC .40. I understand they can be used with multiple guns with the kydex switched out, but I am curious what that will do to the leather backing in terms of how it breaks in. Won't the leather conform to the gun, and won't switching it with others effect the retention/fit? I have a Glock 19 and a Kahr CW9 that I would consider buying the kydex for if my concern is unwarranted.

I had a mtac and carried both of my carry guns the only thing that happened was i had two sets lines on the leather. no problems with holding either in place since the leather conforms to your hip(or where ever you carry) and that is what really does the job of retension

I have four M-Tac holsters I switched them around when I first got it. I liked it so well I bought leather foundations to match the kydex shells. It was just easier than swapping them out everytime I changed carry guns. It is a great system to see if the gun matches up to your preference in carrying.

PS the best improvement is the new belt clips.

Use the Slide to carry a regular size 1911 and/or a 1911 Commander. Works well for either gun.

Although I bought into the MTAC with the idea of swapping shells - I never do it. Not that there is a reason not to, I am just on the go and need whatever holster ready when I am.
