Anybody ever carry, still carry one of these?

Remember these from the seventies and eighties? It's a Pachmayr pocket holster. The idea was you'd attach your revolver and slip the whole thing in your pocket. It held five extra rounds and acted as a shroud for the hammer. It fits a Smith J frame, maybe others.

They were popular in the late 70's. A friend of mine had one. Really a neat idea.
We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!

I had one back in the day. I had forgotten about them. They worked pretty good. I'd like to have one now. Are they still made?

Long gone to the best of my knowledge. I picked this one up on Ebay. They come up once in a while.

It's cool, but wouldn't you want to get a holster for it since it doesn't cover the trigger guard

    Ebay Info.

No critical gun parts - No Magazines - No Barrels - No Slides.

Grips and stocks are OK - Optics are OK - Sights Are OK - Scope mounts are OK - Mainspring housings - grip safeties - barrel bushings - holsters scabbards gun cases are all OK - you get the general idea.

I've seen a few around, have handled one or two, but never actually carried or fired a pistol mounted in one.

It seems like a potentially viable alternative for top-loading jacket pockets.
