5.11 Tactical 1.5" Leather Casual Belt

Does anyone have the 511 Tactical 1.5" Detail Stitch Leather Casual Belt? It says it has the Permastiff™ insert to help support the weight of your gun and holster.

For $29.99 that is an absolute steal if it works as well as my beltman!!

Please help me with your input before I order.

    Thumbs up

It works like a champ! Used mine for a year+ and just recently gave it to my detective daughter and it's still going strong. I have a 80.00 HBE Leatherworks belt that looks nicer but you can't beat that 511 for 30 bucks.

It works great. The problem is the leather coating around the perm stiff - it will flake/peel off the edges. I was told not to get one of these - but figured it says leather - the quality is poor. As far as holding up the gun - they will. But give it a few weeks of daily wear and you will have issues with the way it looks. After purchasing one - I could not recommend it. I purchased a Beltman a few weeks ago.

I've had my black and brown 5.11 belt for over a year now and I don't have the flaking/breaking that some people have experienced. I have some visible wear on the outside of the belt which is fixed by polishing...just like other leather products, nothing major. They've definitely been worth the price to me.

I had a 5.11 belt before I ordered my beltman horsehide. The 5.11 leather is poor quality and scratches very easily (if it doesn't come scratched from the company). The belt is sturdy and will do the job for 30 bucks, but it is not a quality belt in my opinion. I would go with a beltman, bulman gunleather, crossbreed, or comptac.

While this belt will support the weapon well, and its price is great, I had serious issues with the leather cracking, and the finish wore off quickly. However, for only 30 dollars, why complain. I actually wear the 5.11 trainer belt daily and it supports the weight, and doesn't have the problems of the leather as it is nylon. Anywho, if you are looking for something that is less expensive, I say go for it!
