    Decided on a G23 rig.

I ordered a belt and Eagle Defender from K&D Holsters. I was still on the teeter-totter on several makers until I spoke to Kevin. He was very helpful and even pointed me to other makers as good options.

I think his promise to mow my lawn next summer is what closed the deal....

You will enjoy the Eagle Defender. I sure love mine.

Me too - big thumbs up for the Eagle - handsome (tho pity we can't show it off more!!) and it is now in service fast approaching a year - still love it. I am sure you will too.

Well, I just got off the phone with Kevin of K&D Holsters and it's no wonder that everyone seems to really like doing business with him.

He's an outstanding craftsman as P5's holster so clearly demonstrates, and from talking to him, I'd say he's "good people."

I like spending my money with "our own," meaning those who take the time to field questions on our Forum. And when possible, I prefer spending money within my own state, as well.

I needed to talk with him about the color of the leather for my holster and belt. Using pictures on his web site, we found something that fits my taste. It took a little time, but Kevin was more than happy to do it.

Now, all I have to do is have the patience to wait for it. As I've said elsewhere, patience may be a virtue, but it isn't one of mine.

Everything I've read says this will be worth the wait.

Indeed Mike - patience!! It will be worth the wait.

You will tho have a brief spell of use when the rig will seem pretty stiff and it takes a while for the ''ears'' - where belt slots are, to take form and ease - quite normal. Then it's all grins and plain sailing.

And yes too - I think we all like to work with ''our own'' when it comes to rigs and other stuff too. Kevin, Gary, Eric et al - are all part of our excellent community.

I actually had just called to ask Kevin a few questions but ended up placing an order. He spent a lot of time explaining the nuts and bolts of his trade to me. It made it much easier to decide on what I wanted.

    P95,

I told Kevin that is was the picture of your Eagle Defender that sent me to his web site, in the first place.

I ordered the Laredo Defender, primarily because it can be put on or taken off more easily, when I need to.

Talking with him on the phone today helped me decide on a different color than I first asked for, I'm now waiting for the belt & holster, both in a rich, mahogany. Kevin emailed a picture of a different holster in that color and it matches the picture I had in my head.

He also told me the history of the Eagle on your holster while we talked. That's just one more reason for me to classify him as "good people."
