M&P compact holster
I am looking for a holster for an M&P compact 9mm. I prefer leather over kydex but would accept a kydex if it were comfortable to wear. I am wanting IWB carry if possible, something that could stay on for hours on end while in a car. I prefer a clip instead of belt loops, but I do not want a paddle. Oh, I do not want to spend a ton of money on this, I am far from rich, actually just a single parent trying to make ends meat.
Am I asking for to much? Thoughts?

Two hybrid holsters that fit your criteria that can be had in fairly quick time:
1) CompTac MTAC
2) Crossbreed Supertuck
Others that may take a little longer:
1) Tucker Texas Heritage
2) K&D Dakota Defender

I have seen the top 2, not the bottom 2 as of yet. I will have to look at those as well. I was looking at the FIST holsters a little bit ago as well. 6-8weeks delivery is the draw back there.
I dont know what reasonable price wise is, but I would like to stay under $65 if possible. The lower the better.

I have the K&D Dakota Defender.
I cannot recommend it highly enough!
I wear it all day, every day, without an undershirt, in the FL heat, or our terrible winters (
).
It is comfortable, secure and looks great.
Other than that, I can't think of a single reason to get one.

All the holsters mentioned are great.
I have the Fist basic pancake for my M&P9C and it is a real nice holster. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was very satisfied.
Also within your budget.

All of the holsters mentioned are excellent choices. Since you're trying to find a holster in the $65 price range and are concerned about the wait, you might also try one of these:
UBG Holsters (I've got a Canute for my MP9c)
index
Side Guard Holsters
Side Guard Holsters - Home Page
Custom Carry Concepts (these are kydex and the Looper is pretty popular)
Custom Carry Concepts,LLC : IWB Holsters
I'd recommend making sure of the company's return policy. You want to be able to wear the holster for a while to make sure it works for you. Also, it wouldn't hurt to contact the holster maker...they can make recommendations on a specific model based on your needs.

I have the 9c and carry it in a comp-tac MTAC. Carries great, adjustable, extremely comfortable.

I just made this same suggestion in another thread, but I'll repeat it here. Check out high noon holsters. I got the split decision IWB for my m&p 40c and I love it. It was under $40 and I think the quality is very good for that price. It's also tuckable. It only took a week to get from FL to WA as it is a stocked item. I found it to be a perfect option for me while I shop for a custom holster (someday. . .) Good luck!

I think I may go with the high noon. I have to stay on budget and that will help a lot. I would love a custom, but the wait times are high, and the prices, atleast for someone in my social class is high.

later
Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it ......

I have a OWB on order from Dave for my Ultra Carry. Will give my impression once it arrives.

Will be waiting. I have a few weeks before I order so I will continue my research.
