Just call Sam - he'll answer your questions straight up. A prince of a fellow and a straight shooter. My wife has two Monarch rigs, and the fit and finish is exactly what you'd expect from a custom leather artisan.

I have several pieces of Sams work and visit with him at the gunshows. Never seen a bad piece of work yet and he's a nice guy to boot.

I have his “Great Plains Rig” for my Vaquero and a pocket holster for my S&W 442. Great work.

Sam is great and so is his work. But if you want to buy a belt make sure you do not get the belt he makes with the sweade backing. I got it and had to selll it because the sweade is a pain in the rear when trying to get a holster on an off the belt. It really causes the holster to not slide because its so rought. Now I know your thinking that would be good because the gun stays in place on the belt and thats true but the problem is when you thread the holster onto the belt ita a real pain.

Everything Sam Andrews is strictly Top Shelf.
    Erase all doubts.
I'm certain that the Andrews belts are every bit as fine as the Andrews rigs.

I've bough two holsters from him. The first for a full size 1911 and it was perfect. The second was for a J frame. It was not perfect. It was a bit loose and the trigger was NOT adequately covered. Now having said that, I never called him about it because it just wasn't so bad. In fact, I'm picky. I do know for a fact that if I had he would have replaced it lickity split so like everyone is saying, it's a good place to buy leather at a reasonable place!

I think his McDaniels' is a perfect OWB for 1911's for the woods, range, working, etc and even for carry with a heavy coat.

I bought a twin mag carrier from Andrews, and the loops were too small for a double thickness belt. I had a friend who works with leather enlarge them. I called his shop and he was apologetic and said to send it back and he would correct it or make another. However, it was so much easier for my friend to do instead of the mailing.

I have one of his McDaniel II holsters for a G 26, and it is a fine holster. I would not hesitate to buy from him again. He is a nice person, and easy to talk to.

    Regards,
    Jerry
