Just got one after a three month wait. Now I know that leather is supposed to fit snugly, but dang! It shouldn't hold this tight! Nearly impossible to get the weapon into action without either ripping my pants with the hook or using my off hand to strip the holster. I think maybe this form fitting holster needs to be loosed up a lot, as opposed to not loosening an OWB. Anybody else experience this or have another solution?
I would suggest talking to the MFG and see what they recommend. :yup:
A good way to loosen up a holster is to take a couple of plastic grocery bags and wrap them around the barrel and frame where it fits into the holster and then force the gun into the holster. Keep the material the same thickness all around and not TOO thick. Leave it overnight. The next day the fit will be better.
I like wax paper. The wax side towards the leather...
If it is super tight a dress sock will do the trick...
Spray the inside of the holster with silicon spray before putting the pistol in baggies in it.
