    Shoulder rig?

Hey folks, I need some recommendations for a shoulder holster for a Rossi 46202 .357.

    It's a 2" barrel 6 shot that's the same size as a S&W "K" frame.

I'm a southpaw, so available in left hand, or an ambi' rig, leather or synthetic.

See if you can score an Alessi, they are the best (IMHO). Lou Alessi has perfected the shoulder rig and all others are just variations on his theme. I have seen some nice used ones but expect to pay $$ because quality isn't cheap.

Something like this but for a snubbie:

Well I just got in a Galco Classic Lite today, and am wearing it now. I will let you know in a week or so how it is going to work out.

I don't think they make one specifically for the Rossi, I doubt you will find many shoulder rigs for your model gun, but I am sure it is about the same size as some revolver they make one for.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

I also have a 4" S&W M66 "K" frame, so I figured I would have to buy one made for it.

I had a Galco Classic Lite, liked it. Through some dealing with a friend I ended up with a Galco Miami Classic for my G19. Love it. Comfortable, and conceals well.

Please let us know and if you can get some pics that would be even better.

I am so close to ordering one myself.

What gun are you carrying and how does it balance with just the one mag pouch?

Are the Galco's available for a leftie?

Their website wasn't to clear on the "classic" models.

Wife has one for her G19, but hasn't gotten her license back yet so her time in it is very limited.

The one I just got yesterday fits both my PT111 and my 24/7 Pro Taurus'. The balance is good. Better with the smaller PT111, since it is 1" shorter barrel and has 5 less rounds in it.

Today I am going commando with it. Just wearing it under my shirt without a Tshirt under it. Hopefully it won't tear me up.

What kind of cover shirt do you wear when carrying like this? How well does it conceal? I know the draw will be slower but can you still get to it pretty easily?

BCCL, I also had questions about shoulder rigs and the forum was very helpful.
    http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulle...questions.html

I actually decided on a Miami Classic in black for my M&P40.
Shopping around different on-line vendors I found Optics Planet to have the best price of all. And their staff was very helpful with the questions I had.
They also are a site vendor and have their ad at the footer of the site.
Hope to have it shortly and add into the holster rotation after some training with it.

I have been wearing a heavy weight cotton button up shirt. This will change. This weekend I am going to pick up some snap up shirts, so that I will not have to mess with the button issue.

One of the reasons I am trying out the shoulder rig is because tax season is upon me, and it just looks better for the customers to have my shirts tucked in. I have been wearing an OWB with my shirts untucked during the off season, since customer count is fairly low. With the shirts that have the square cut bottom it looks fine, but with the long sleeve shirts that have a tail or whatever you want to call them it looks a little sloppy in an office enviroment.

I have the option of wearing my Crossbreed Super Tuck, but although it is comfortable, when I am stuck at my desk for hours and hours at a time sitting it can get to be a pain. I figure draw from a shoulder rig with snaps on the front of the shirt should be about the same as drawing from a tucked shirt carried IWB.

It conceals fine from what I can tell. I blouse my shirts at the waist line a bit to give it some extra room. The girl we hired for the front desk hasn't noticed, no customers have that I can tell, and when I have been out and about with people I am around often, they were not aware.

    Vertical or Horizontal

I plan to get an "Executive" harness from Galco for my H&K USP compact 45. I'm trying to decide whether to use the horizontal S3H or the vertical VHS holster.

Any help from an experienced user would certainly be appreciated!

    Thanks
