Another DIY Holster - This one for the Rugerror P95

I generally don't make holsters for other folks, but a coworker pestered me enough to make a holster for her to give to a friend as a gift. Unfortunately, neither my coworker nor I have a P95, so she ended up finding someone who does have one who ended up letting me use it with the stipulation that I make him a holster, as well. Fair trade, I guess. Took a few pics along the way, so here's the holster for the guy who let us borrow the gun.

I really can't say holstermaking is my favorite thing to do, especially when I'm doing it for someone else. At that point, the no-deadline no-pressure hobby has turned into work (*shudders*). But I do enjoy seeing the end result after each one and comparing it to the last. This one turned out pretty good except for the little bit of wrinkling in the leather under the rear belt slot. I'm surprised I did so well with the boning with a gun I'm so unfamiliar with.

Great work! How do you get the profile impressions in the leather? Is a machine required for sewing or can stitching be done by hand?

    That looks really nice...

I've got a friend who is just getting into CC (still waiting on the CHL) and he his having a heckuva time finding a holster for his railed P95 - I should tell him to make his own! LOL.

Very nice rig, Bulldawg. I'd have to say that is the most professional looking 'hobby' holster I have seen posted up around here.

Thats is a very nice holster. If you hadnt told us you made it yourself it would be very easy to believe you paid good money for a "custom"
