    Girlfriends Carry Method

Any advice on a holster or alternate method for carry. She is not too fond of the belt holster method, but if I find her a better holster then maybe I can keep her from putting it in her monstrosity of a purse.

Smith 637, i thought about a shoulder holster, but i want to stick to something thats she could wear without changing her wardrobe too dramatically. And a shoulder holster would require the use of a jacket all the time. She would instantly veto a fanny pack.

Limatunes has a blog on holsters and some carry options that may be good for her.

I still think a shoulder holster and fanny pack can be options. Better for women than men because of all the styles available and fashionable (beyond the photographer vest for men)

What about a purse made for carrying and not just a regular purse?

The best thing that she can do is get on the net and look at the various methods that are used by woman, and then "chat" with some to see what they like and dislike.

When I teach a class geared to women only, I have some women come in and do a show and tell and talk about the many different styles and methods there are. I think that that is the most effective way to do it. A woman that has been carrying awhile is going to be a better communicator about it than a man is, because there are too many differences there.

Dang, I thought this was going to be a thread on how to carry our girlfriends concealed!

Purse carry is a bad option in my opinion. Purse snatch means lost weapon as well. But I know limatunes has plenty of good advise.
But if you are authorized to carry a weapon, and you walk outside without it, just take a deep breath, and say this to yourself...

I have to agree with that.

Have her look at SOB holsters and wear them around the kidneythe natural curve in a womans waist right there will help to conceal something as small as a j frame., If not maybe a good IWB...Look at FIST. They have some good OWB for women and some Slim cut IWB in their regular line.
