leather paddle holster
I use a paddle holster to and from work. I am not happy with kydex and would like to use a leather paddle holster with an open top. The only manufacturer that I am aware of that makes one is Galco. Does anyone else know of a leather paddle holster maker custom or otherwise? Thanks much.

Try Desantis. Have one for sale on the board right now. Mines for a SIG 228. Great all around holster IMO. G&G also makes a good paddle.

I carry my XD.45 Compact in a Don Hume paddle open top model H720 OT. This holster fits very close to my side and rides high enough that it is easy to conceal with a vest or light jacket. You can remove the paddle and slide your belt through as an option.
H720 O.T. [H720 O.T.] - $57.50 : Don Hume Leathergoods, manufactures high quality leather and nylon goods.

Fist makes their Jim Murnak #18 holster. It's a leather paddle. You can order with with some options, like sweat guard, open-top or thumb break, reinforced mouth, open or closed bottom, etc. I have one of these. Check for my review, with the [search] tool.

The only leather paddle holster I have is the Galco. It rides too high, and tends to lean out from the body. Consequently it is more difficult to conceal. I do not recommend that one.
I do like paddle holsters, but all mine except that one Galco are kydex, or Fobus plastics. My own experience with paddle holsters is that the paddle gets to be uncomfortable after several hours, so I do not wear one all day.

Kramer
I agree Kramer is the best!
I have one of Greg's old Proline for my P7... got it for a song and wouldn't part with it.
I do recommend the extra cash for horse... I used to sell alot of Kramer at the store I worked in out in WA and the cow just isn't up to par in my opinion. I am sure I will jumped for that comment...
Anyways, last I heard from the store I used to work at, paddles were a 90 day or less wait.

Those of you that mentioned the Kramer MSP would you happen to have pictures of you wearing the holster and/or the holster itself? Thanks much.

One more for the Kramer. He uses saddleweight leather for the paddle. MUCH more comfortable than plastic. Top quality all the way. Kramer is a family working together to make custom holsters. I've been to Galco...it's a huge, impersonal assembly line factory.
