And I thought I had it easy concealing a weapon.....My Glock is about as big as I can go without really having to work at keeping things hidden.
With all the talk about holster types, brands, etc. I think the biggest factor in ease of concealed carry may very well be how big a person you are.

Yes it is a plus, but i still feel self concious at times. Thats slowly melting away though. I'm switching from my glock to my .45's a ruger P345PR, and Baby Eagle .45. They will deifnitly dissappear.

I got a chuckle, when he said he was "6'8.5"... I guess that makes me 5'10.25" @ 230, ha ha.. Course, I wont take a "sideview" pic of me, as the camera doesnt have a "wideangle" lens!!

Hey Combat, I have the original right handed codura hip holster for my DE.44 When i go to the range, its just to keep me proficient. Wouldn't walking with an ankle holster give you a pronounced limp..? or woudn't you have to wear bell bottoms to conceal it..?

I was funning with you. There is a guy on Shooters' Legacy that jokes about carrying his 4" S&W 500 in an ankle holster. He's a 6'4" feller.

My wife and I love San Antonio! Our dog breeder is located in Blanco and we've made two trips in the last four years to get a dog. Drove from Miami both times. Thanks to reciprocity, I was able to carry and I felt safe the entire trip. First trip was in the month of March and loved it. We began discussing an idea to retire there. The second trip in JULY, killed that idea. Lawdy and here I thought Miami got hot in July!

    Anyway.... welcome!

    Bellbottoms!

Why, with your size, you could wear bellbottoms and I don't think anyone would say much except "Those look good on you SIR!" BTW, Welcome to the Forum!

Yeah, the heat gets me also..I'm an avid scuba diver, and would love to move back to Florida (lived in Cocoa Beach when stationed at Patrick AFB), but mother nature is going to have to do something about those darn hurricanes..!!!
