I would go with Kydex. No leather at all. I myself am a leather guy but if you are talking lots and lots of sweat then I don't think leather would last that long or smell to good after a while.

There's a type of holster from Sparks that may help.

Milt Sparks "The #1 Heritage" (copied this description from their website).

    Please read:

"The idea was to create an all leather IWB holster that would offer the holstered weapon protection from body perspiration in a hot humid environment. To provide the moisture protection, a waterproof liner is placed on the body side of the holster between the thin leather, inner and outer shell. "

I have this particular holster and it's one of my best (in quality).

This is different from Sparks' Summer Special 2 which has similar looks. You would have to hold one of these to appreciate the uniqueness of this holster. Notice how smooth also slippery like leather (same inside the holster), which makes me believe that it's specifically made to deal with HUMIDITY.

I like nylon holsters in hot/humid weather

I added MoleSkin to entire backside of my leather holster after wearing it for a week or so after I got it last August.
Helps a bunch, absorbs sweat, dries out quick. Looks like I'll only need to change it out once a year or so.

I know that I am not alone with this problem. I am having trouble justifying the $$$ for a high quality leather that I know will get soaked from sweat. Does / has anyone had good results from a leather in this environment?
Mine, there as hard as horse hide, and probably just as water resistant.
