I simply pocket carry with cargo pants (which I wear all the time). The thing I love about pocket carry is I can (very innocently) keep my hands in my pockets, with gun firmly in hand. I can draw from pocket very fast like this. I use guns with nothing that will snag on cloth as gun is drawn from pocket (i.e, sharp-edged rear sights, or slide).
With this holster you link to - you can't keep your hand in that pocket without looking suspicious.
Just MHO, of course..............

I think walking with that much weight in a cargo pocket would be irritating especially in cargo shorts

I would think this would conceal pretty well but it doesn't look comfortable at all to me.
I don't think I could wear that every day.
With a drop-strap holster under your pants, you will find it difficult to run, or even walk quickly.
Low-on-the-leg carry has its own set of built-in problems. It is not an ideal solution, whether you use pocket- or holster-carry.

Looks really uncomfortable. Wouldn't you have to cut up your pants to make it work? I'll stick to pocket carry.

Don't like it. I find that carrying in the inside pocket (not the cargo pocket) works best -- no banging around (weight on the outside and more range of motion means you'll be banging into tables, chairs, etc.) and the cargo pocket adds another layer to prevent printing. Make sure the inside pocket is deep and goes behind the cargo pocket (not stop above) and that the angle and width of the pocket allows for easy draw (easier than dealing with cargo pocket buttons or velcro).
With cargo shorts, the gun goes right in the normal pocket. I only have two modes of dress. Jeans and cargo shorts LOL I wouldnt carry in the side cargo pocket.
I often wear the OWB holster even with the shorts but the gun can drop right in there. Pocket Holster would work too.
