My wife finished her class a couple weeks ago and is now in the waiting period. IWB wasn't for her, she likes tight fitt'in jeans, and I must admit, I like them on her too!! We selected a high rise tight fitting Pancake holster. I ordered her the Galco Speed Master and it is a excellent holster. Ables has them at a great price.

Many of my women customers carry appendix style. My wife carries appendix for smaller guns all the time. Of my line, the Minimal Clip or Quick Clip work great.
For OWB or IWB with more support depending on the body shape, behind the hip seams to work well. My wife likes The Slide OWB pancake style for behind the hip.
It takes me no more time left handed or right handed.

My wife and most ladies I know, friends or ex-students end up carrying cross-draw, or "purse-draw". Not a great idea, but better than no-carry.
I don't mind buying my pants 1 size too large, my wife wouldn't even think of it !!!
The female body has many variations and needs, so, each case is different.
Trial and error.
She'll end up with the infamous "holster box" like the rest of us.
Congrats on her getting the CCW

Thanks for the info guys. . . we' ll have to see what is best for her. I have a couple cossbreeds that we're going to try to see what she likes better and the functionality of the different styles. Thanks again

My wife figures a guns not worth having if they don't make a Blackhawk Serpa to fit it. They're great holsters for $50 or less. Obvious drawback is OWB. If she's comfortable dressing around that, have a look at them. Very positive locking w/index finger release. It put my wife at ease. In the event that she swings upside down on the playground or whatever, everything stays in place.

Has she consider an 'under' shirt ??? They have them in left or right handed... and different size guns. They work well... I have 2 of them.

Looks like a nice crossdraw setup ... would require a cover garment but any owb does also. Photo stolen from the SideGuard Holsters website.
