    My "SuperLite" SuperTuck.. (Photos)

Here's a few photos of my SuperTuck that show how I modified it to allow me a more comfortable, all day carry while positioned in Appendix carry. I also trimmed the ST for the Combat Grip.

The cut-outs on the bottom help conform to my body and upper thigh when I'm seated, which makes the modifications work best when I'm carrying Appendix mode.

The Holster still retains complete retention. The easy on/off feature of the holster, and it's integrity, has not been compromised. When carried at the 3:30 or 4:00 position, the ST still makes my G26 disappear and the comfort zone remains unlike any other holster I've owned.

Another advantage I see by trimming/modifying the Holster, as I have, is the reduced weight, albeit, probably just by a few ounces. Thus reducing the total combined weight of the Holster and CCW.

Not sure these modifications will work well with heavier weapons, or weapons that have a long barrel, but it's perfect and works great for my needs. Overall, I'm very pleased with the modifications.

Anyway, any comments or opinions will be appreciated.

    Here's the photos.....

Interesting. Did you re-dye the holster and burnish the freshly cut edges? If so, how?

That's probably the cleanest trim job I've seen. Verry good job.

    Nice!
I cut the combat grip in mine, and will be stealing a few ideas from you.

Yes. I carefully rounded/formed the edge with a sharp utility knife and then applied KIWI leather [shoe] dye all around the freshly cut edge. It works very well and drys with no bleeding.

I also intend to cover most of the backside of the holster with Moleskin. Photos will follow as soon as I get'r done. :)

THANKS, Guys. I appreciate the kind words.

Cutting the leather isn't as hard as it seems. Just gotta do your prep-work. I used a pen and outlined the areas that were going to get cut and then took my time doing it.

A thin sharp hobby/utility knife will make the job easier. But taking your time to avoid a costly mistake, is Paramount..!!

I appreciate that comment. Please allow me to explain.

First of all, the subject SuperTuck featured in the photos IS NOT made for a Glock 26. It was made for a Kahr PM45, and purchased new from Crossbreed back in Oct/08 when I owned my PM45.

I sold the Kahr recently and then acquired the G26. I came across a number of threads on the Glock forum where members had experienced that a few holsters made for a PM45 would also fit a G26.

This SuperTuck (Kydex shell) holsters the G26 with absolutely no jiggle or looseness. The Rig can be inverted with the G26 inserted and it will not fall out. BTW, the 26 inserts all the way in until the front part of the trigger guard can't go deeper into the shell.

As far as the trigger guard being left exposed, well, I honestly don't have a problem with that. It doesn't expose the trigger in such a way that it compromises safety. The ride height of the weapon is perfect for me. I like the clearance created between the grip and the top edge of the Kydex shell.

I feel extremely confident using this holster with my G26.

FYI, this was thoroughly discussed with Mark and after I informed him on holster fitment, he didn't see a problem with it. If he had, I would've immediately placed an order for another SuperTuck specific to my weapon.

I hope this clears up a few things.

That's what I was thinking. I noticed that the molding on the kydex didn't match the ejection port....and this of course would explain why.

Wow, so you can turn your holster over and you gun doesn't fall out. I can't do that with my Supertuck and M&P. Hasn't presented a problem yet though.
