    I am now a believer!!!!!!!!

I have to be honest with you guys. I thought you were all on crack for spending $125-150 on a hand made leather holster. I just saw a post the other day that said "I only wear leather" and I thought, "Please!"...

    I was wrong

I got my Black Ops IWB/OWB from Rocky at Pure Kustom this morning. The black devil is sexy, I tell you what! This is my first all leather holster, so I don't have a lot to compare this to, but it is very nice. The XD is NOT coming out of this thing by accident. I know it will loosen up, but for right now it is a very tight fit. The molding is done very well and I see no issues at all with the finishing of the leather. On to the what you guys really want to see, the pics!

I left the top screws out because I hadn't yet figured out that Rocky includes a set for use when you are going OWB and have the loops taken off, as I did in this pic.

It's just sharp, that's all I can say.

I particularly like how it came precurved instead of flat as a pancake... my side isn't flat like a pancake...

And how it works on the body... I know, I need to lose some weight... a pound or 55

Nice and snug up against my love handle...

Rocky was outstanding to work with. Long after I was willing to give up on Paypal, he was still trying to get the transaction to work out. I won't go into any monetary details as the man has a business to run, but he also gave me a small break when he didn't have to... I'll just leave it at A++++++ interaction. With a great product and an even better CS experience, I will be back, for sure. I would not hesitate to pay his going rate a second time!

For the guy who said, "Leather only"... Yeah, me too!

I blame Rocky for turning me into a leather snob... Crossbreed Supertuck and Comptac MTAC now for sale......

His work is really exceptional. I agree that a properly designed and constructed leather rig is worth every penny that you spend on one.

Edit: Actually, I have another idea... I'm off to talk to Rocky.

What does she pay for a nice pair of shoes? You'll get a lot more use out of one of Rocky's holsters!

You need to think about UBG Holsters

Rocky at Pure Kustom carves and stamps it into the leather, then dyes it for permanent color. He's got an example of the USMC stuff on his website.

That's a good looking holster, congratulations. As far as leather loosening up well, there are a few ways to speed up the break in process. That will stretch the holster just enough to make for a smooth, easy draw without pulling your pants up to your armpits. Now as far as stretched and worn out goes, a well made leather holster with heavy duty stitching is going to last for several years unless you just plain abuse the crap out of it. It won't last forever, it'll just seem like it has.

If you take the cost of a top quality leather holster and divide it by the number of years it will last, more often than not it turns out to be cheaper than an off the shelf, mass produced holster. Plus there's the pride of ownership you get by using the good stuff.
