Recommendations? Walther PPS 40cal Quickdraw holster

I have a Walther. I need a good holster. I don't know what to get as far as leather. I want a nice leather belt but concealable. I am thinking quick draw or maybe full gun coverage, but I do not need a retention strap. Georgia law doesn't require one and neither do I.

But since this weapon is pretty new I am having a hard time pinning the tail on a good holster.

I can only tell you what I found based on my body type (fat). I have a UBG Canute for my Sig 239 and it is one of the most comfortable holsters I have so when I purchased my PPS, I ordered a Canute for it and, for me, it has proven to be very uncomfortable. Understand, this is not Nate's fault, but a bad combination of fat owner, gun design and holster design.

The problem is that the PPS is a very short gun forward of the trigger guard. Though the PPS and my 239 have close to the same barrel length and are close in overall length, the design of the gun puts more of that length toward the rear of the PPS and less to the front. This results in a short holster if the holster is made with an open end.

Here is a picture of the PPS on top of the 239:

and here is a picture of the PPS Canute on top of the 239 Canute:

The result is that on someone of my body type, while the PPS Canute is comfortable while standing, it becomes very uncomfortable when sitting. After wearing it for about 6 hours, it had actually rubbed a raw spot on my hip/upper thigh. For this reason, I think the best holster for a PPS is going to be something with a closed bottom and extra material beyond the end of the barrel much like my Brigade Gunleather IWB:

    Hope this helps out some.

I have the Canute also for a PPS and it sits a little high for me as a big guy. I can wear it mainly because my waist is short so the holster doesn't rub on my hip as much. The Striker by UBG is actually a great holster for us big guys. I have it too for the M&P and I can wear it all day.

This is actually the Canute with the M&P 45c which also fits nicely.
