I'm 98% sure Eric at HBE Leather can do them. I love HBE's product and a short wait time. I'd recommend the COM III (if you like loops) or the DC Special (if you like metal clips).

Josh Bulman is one of the only makers I know that has all the S&W dummies to make holsters with. Most makers don't mess with them as S&W was famous for their "gun of the week" and it cost too much to buy all the different dummy guns needed. Josh does have a 4506.

Kramer and blade-tech will both make you an IWB for your 4506. Great 45 BTW.

thanks so far guys also do you feel something from HBE leather, with offset loops like a VMII would be better for this gun given its weight? Last thing is whats HBE's turn around time?

Im gonna guess around 3 weeks max unless you want it trimmed in Shark. Ive been hearing Shark is getting harder to get right now.

I used a Ted Blocker IWB for my 4506 back in the mid 90's. It woked well but the 45056 is a BIG gun

Yes charliiefox it is but I figure its really not a lot differant from packing a fullsize steel 1911,in the size/weight area. I haven't carried a full size steel gun for a long time due to some back issues. But I've been feeling a bit better about it lately,as my back thanks to some therapy it a lot better.

If I were you, I'd either look at the COMIII like the VMII or the DC Special. The DC has metal clips if you prefer those. The COMIII has leather snaps. I think you're best off with a dual offset loop design to distribute the weight of the gun over the length of the belt. Call Eric at HBE and ask, but last I heard he's running about 4 weeks and doesn't charge your card until he starts cutting the holster by that time you can figure you'll have it in hand in less than a week.
