Belt slots too big
I got a used pancake holster for my Mod. 65 Smith. The belt slots are for a 2" belt, which I knew when I bought it. I would like to make the slots fit a 1 1/2" belt. Other than taking thread and sewing up the difference, does anyone have a better idea than this? Thanks in advance for your replies.
Do you have a picture of the holster in question? If you look at the Blackhawk Serpa holster belt attachment, it has a way to adjust the belt size. They are small plastic pieces that you slide into position, and are held their with a screw.
I'll try and remember to take some pictures tomorrow. Shoot me a PM if you remember.
sorry but i don't have a camera, but I bet the Serpa would work great. Thanks!
It you know where there is a shoe repair shope around where you live, you could take it there, and they could sew it up,just like you want it...be sure to take your belt with you,or know the measurements of the one youll be using. If now its like a 2 1/2 or 2 they can sew it together to make it a 1 1/2. I bet it wouldnt cost much and they could do it right then ,if ya ask real nice.... :image035:
