I've been reading some of the threads about belly bands and it seems like most people use those for smaller semi-autos or revolvers. I have a 4" XD9 tactical and am wondering if that's too big for a belly band. I've looked at the Galco and it seems like it might handle a larger pistol. Anyone out there carry larger guns in one of these?
I've carried a Glock 22 in a bellyband under a sweatshirt or sweater before. It's flat on the sides and that helps but a G27 was better fit for a bellyband. These days, I'll usually stick a 442 in there.
I carry a G19 in one.

Thanks. Seems the Smart Carry is popular with a lot people. I may just give up the belly band search and go with one of those.
I have a belly band from the Glock Store and like it. I have a small and medium Smart Carry and like them too. I find myself leaning towards the small Smart Carry for my PM9 (more comfortable when sitting) and belly band for the G36 when not wearing jeans to hang a holster on. IMHO
Kimber Ultra Carry II, Glock G23 & G36, Kahr PM9, Winchester 1300 Defender 12gauge pump (my favorite but hard to hide)
Belly bands come in 4" wide and 6" wide .The bigger guns need a 6"
They also come in different thicknesses and quality so keep that in
I have carried a 44 desert eagle in a belly band before
just to see if I could ,but it was very heavy and I
would not won't to carry it all day like that.
