No probs here with the Mexican carry. I think body type makes a big diference here. For me it just works, it's not ideal, but it's safe and works if I need to, due to the Steyr's safety configuration.
"He went on two legs, wore clothes and was a human being, but nevertheless he was in reality a wolf of the Steppes. He had learned a good deal . . . and was a fairly clever fellow. What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."
Wouldn't feel comfortable with it, either - but that's just me!
It's not about the caliber you carry, it's about how you USE it.
1988 DIE HARD 2008
I've stuck a 1911 in my waistband, middle of the back or in a back pocket a couple of times ... but never since getting my holster. Just too dangerous for my money.
We had a guy carrying something Mexican in the front of his pants go thru an all-night taco stand here a couple months ago. Change was dropped on the pavement and when he opend the car door and leaned out to pick it up, guess what happened. Yep ... the thing went off and he shot himself in the femoral artery. He bled out and died in about 4 minutes.
No can do. Need the security of a holster to know I'm not printing in my pocket or it's not going to slip out.
