Nice looking set up there! Even matching mag baseplates!!

Great looking Rig, Mitch!
The base pads really give your 1911 that "retro" look. I recall them being pretty popular in the 80s.
I remember placing [heavy] solid brass pads (like yours) on some of my mags. Man, those mags would fall out of the well like greased lightning.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Nice grips. Yep, HBE makes a real nice carry rig.
I usually tell folks to carry with the "in firearm" magazine having no slam pad since having extra .25" or .50" jutting out the butt serves no real purpose except providing more firearm butt to possibly "print."
Save the magazines with the slam pads for your extra where having base pads will serve the purpose of insuring easier and more positive insertion.

Thanks for the good idea, and or advice,im going to take you up on that,it really makes alot of sence.Ill just kept a regular mag in gun,and use the other for spare....very good idea, then I get to have it both ways.not looking weird in the gun,in holster, but still usefull on spare,so thre not just thrown in the holster box...lol...Thanks,thats the best ive heard so far.....

slight threadjack: Flush mag in the gun and bumpers on reloads. I've seen guys carrying with that philosophy and did it myself until I ran into a doublefeed at a match. If you have a double feed and a flush mag, just what exactly are you going to grab on to strip the mag out? I have minimal baseplates on the in-gun mag and extended baseplates on reloads precisely so I can get the mag out if it's stuck.

My compliments on your photo sizes. Nicely done, ideal size.
Now if others would follow your lead...
I'd prefer 800 wide rather than 600 myself...for detail.

Very nice. ERic's rigs are nice. Ordered one for my boyfriend a few weeks back.
