I bought a hot weather holster vest to try.
It's worked great so far for winter time. I'll have to see how I can handle it in the heat.

Yes wind can be a problem in CO as well. I find my self putting my thumbs in my front pocket to keep my lighter weight shirts from blowing up.
If you don't protect your self, who will?
I started carrying just before the cooler weather started coming in up here in NH. I would wear a pair of jean shorts and a darker colored t-shirt out when I was away from my house. I through on my duty belt and my Desantis Pro-Stealth holster holding my XD9 and never had a problem with printing (not that I really care all that much about printing up here in NH).
I plan on making some holster purchases as soon as my wife gets the next bun out-of-the-oven! She wants an IWB holster for her Kahr and I want a nice leather holster IWB for my XD. We'll both be wearing IWB with t-shirts this summer. The darker colored shorts or printed type shirts will definately hide better.

Yeah....but it's a DRY Heat, right? LOL!Originally Posted by Mark Garrity

Keep a Glock M27 with a 9rd mag inserted and topped off with a Glock M23 as a spare in another bag compartment. It's a S-L-O-W draw, but a good compromise.

This weekend I was at Kittery Trading Post in Maine, for the first time. I found a vest that I like, that's light enough to wear during summer, and conceal my Kimber. It almost resembles a 5.11 tactical vest, with pockets everywhere.
Man, I wish I lived in Phoenix. I'd love to live in the desert. The Diamondbacks are my favorite NL team so I'd have some interest already if I ever get to move there.Originally Posted by Mark Garrity
Central Texas is as hot and humid at Florida. Although I can't get my CHL for another 9 months I plan to carry my GLOCK 26 in a Comp-Tac C.T.A.C.
Try a Galco Summer Comfort IWB holster....
Works great under shorts.....

I go with a colored tee tucked in my pants and wear a good IWB holster then a Open shirt over this as a cover. At other times casual slacks IWB holster Golf style shirt as a cover. A tee and shoulder rig with a open shirt as cover.
