    Galco SOB

I have a Galco SOB holster for my 1911.
I love the SOB setup, but I have an issue. The holster is loose. If I run, the gun is on the ground. The tensioner is as tight as I can get it but the gun is still loose.
    What can I do?
    Thanks in advance.

    Cool

    Whatever you do, don't run.
Seriously, I have a SOB but don't think I'd try running with it although it is tight. As far as running with a holster, I'd feel better if the holster was at 1:00 - 3:30.

The only SOB holster I trusted to move around in is a kydex one, it locked the weapon in, leather in that angle of cant is not enough grip on the weapon.

Let me explain the reason I found this out.
I was turkey hunting, shot a turkey and ran to make sure it was dead. I felt it fall out within 3 or 4 steps. Luckily it was soft ground and no harm came to the gun. I normally don't carry my pistol hunting, but this place is loaded with hogs and I don't want to trust the #5 shot turkey loads on an angry 500lb hog.

So you wont normally find me running. Fat boys like me don't do that.

I carry IWB/SOB in this...it never comes out unless I take it out.

    FIST, INC.

Good holster with a tight belt...worn over the kidney, not the spine...palm out draw.

You can fall down a set or bleachers at a rodeo and the gun will stay intact...although your 'ego' may suffer some damage. (A story for another day!)

Unless you can pull off the type of rig described by retsupt99 (drawing palm-out, from a zero-cant SOB holster worn IWB), SOB carry will always have the pitfall that you describe, due to the extreme cant necessary to permit a draw w/ your palm facing inwards toward your body... This is the same reason that my experiment with SOB carry lasted approx. one day... YMMV, of course...

Send it back! They should fix it or give you a new one. I had a similar issue with a DeSantis, and they made it like new for me.

huh, never had that issue with my SOB, but i use the blackhawk check six. Sounds like the holster is worn out, or for some reason doesn't fit that gun.
