Cargo pants/ shorts...
I have been considering this as a clothing option for some time. I realize there will be some times where IWB or OWB carry will not be a viable option. How hard would it be to carry a baby Glock or snub nose in the front pocket of these pants/ shorts. Holster suggestions for front pocket carry? Your input will be most appreciated.

My typical carry in cargo shorts is a S&W snubby 642 in a RKBA pocket holster, works perfectly in the front pocket and it is very comfortable. I throw a speed loader in the side cargo pocket and I'm good to go. Great way to carry when its hot out. I would defintely recommend this type of carry.

Cargo pants/shorts are what I wear daily. I have no trouble carrying either a S&W 442 or a Glock 26 in my right front pocket via a RKBA pocket holster.
FWIW, I really like Cabelas Trail Hiking cargo pants. They're well made, and cost about 50% of what you would pay for 5.11s.

Cargo pants tend to have deep pockets and tend to fit loosely, which I think are perfect for pocket carry. I own a couple of Mika pocket holsters (square and round bottom) for my snubby, which work well with my cargo shorts.

I don't know if its my build, or the kind of cargos I've got, or what, but I can't seem to pull it off. Either the pockets aren't deep enough and the top of the grip shows, or it looks like I'm carrying a can of soda in my front pocket. This is with j-frames. Any suggestions?

Living here in FL, I wear cargo shorts 24/7 just about. If I'm in the woods, I am in khaki cargo pants. Cabelas to be exact. ;)

Kind of tough to get a Glock (or my Kimber Ultra) in my pockets, but then it's kind of tough just getting into my 5.11 shorts.
My KelTec or my S&W 637 will fit in a Fist #5 kydex pocket holster...it works.

I never wear shorts, even during the height of summer. I seem to be an oddity.

How about getting a pocket holster designed for "Cargo Pocket Carry"?.
If you like this, send my picture to Eric (HBE), and he'll make you one.
Since cargo pockets are normally huge, this holster design works well on hooking onto your corner pockets when withdrawing your firearm. The quality and detailed boning is superb! I think this picture speaks for itself.
