5.11 makes a couple different types of shirts. Which ones are you asking about?

I found them hot to wear and uncomfortable as hell with a J frame. It has been relegated to the back of the closet.

Shirt, jacket, and vest pockets for guns are not the greatest way to carry a gun IMHO. The gun, if not in a holster, flops and flips...in in a holster, it just flops...too loose for my standards.

I have several 5.11 holster shirts. I wear them when deep concealment is mandatory. They need to fit tight to work properly and I have also found that they can be hot during the summer. I also find that they can be "itchy" so I normally wear a "T" shirt underneath to subside the itching problem. They are great for deep concealment but I would prefer a strongside holster instead.
