Tips for wallet holster...
I've got a Don Hume wallet holster in which I carry my KT P3AT as a BUG. Issue is that my draw time for this holster is measurable in months versus seconds. I realize that it's not made to make fast draws from, but I'm looking for ideas to make it less "sticky" when trying to draw.
Anyone use anything to "slick up" the leather to make it an easier draw? (BTW: get an ankle holster does NOT count as productive assistance)

DOn't go with the blocked wallet holsters. Try a soft wallet holster. They are easier to draw and lighter too. You in Dyersburg?

Nah, South of Memphis in Mississippi.
Too late, already have it. Bought the blocked specifically to give the illusion of a wallet. Prolly doesn't help much that I added one of the rubber grip enhancer doohicky things to it, which makes it that much more difficult to remove...

I use KG-9 to slick up the inside of holsters that are tight. It is the same, I think, as Rosen's Leather Lightning, but much less expensive.

That may not solve your problem.

You can put your gun in a ziploc, or a pantyhose, then put it in the holster, this will stretch it out just a tiny bit for you. You could also push the top of the holster down with your thumb at the same time that you pull the gun out.
I have the same type holster but don't have that problem. I have an LCP in it, it comes out smooth.

Haven't slicked up the holster, but have done the ziploc bag trick. As I look at the holster setup, I don't know that it's too tight, or even not slick enough, but that the holster wants to come out with the gun when drawn. Anyone ever put some type of rubbery liner on the back of one of these, to kinda grab at the pocket lining? Maybe glue it on? Is that nuts?

Had a friend who pinned his in with a safety pin. I have seen one that had velcro added to the back and a matching piece in the pocket. The pinned holster was a soft Uncle Mikes, though. Might not work for you in leather.

I got one from pocketholsters.com for my Seecamp LWS .32 and it works well. It's not too tight and is rather easy to draw. However, my pocket holster (front right) works much better for me.

Slabsides - Is this the holster you have?
002 [002] - $34.30 : Don Hume Leathergoods, manufactures high quality leather and nylon goods.
If so, have you tried "Pnuts" suggestion about using your thumb to brace the holster in place during the draw? This works best for me.

Just get the soft pocket holster. They are only like $30.00, help the economy out.

I have heard of people raping a gun in tinfoil to help stretch the holster out just a bit. Never tried it myself. Good luck!
