I always use a full holster for my side arm, but it seems like this would fill a need. I like the easy belt-loop attachment.
(I have no connection at all with the video's author, just stumbled upon it on YouTube.)

Interesting but IMHO it solves a problem that should not exist for anyone who is not a banger
I use a real holster and would never trust my life to something that may not perform well under stress. And a holster does more then cover the trigger it retains your pistol when running, grappling, etc YMMV

The guy that came up with that is a member here, you can see some thoughts on it in this thread: http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulle...r-holster.html

Not something I would ever use...it's NOT a holster, it's an accident looking for a place to happen...OMOYMV

I'm not in favor of anything that would encourage Mexican carry.

Great idea, specially if the carry weapon has a secured method of retention.
I wouldn't mind trying out the trigger guard, along with a Clipdraw attached to my G26, in appendix carry.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Hey guys, I'm the originator of that "Trigger Holster". It was just an idea that I came up with after seeing one of my friends carrying his snub using hip grips. I still have that prototype, but never use it. I saw about a month ago that one of the kydex holster makers, Raven Concealment, has taken the idea and put it into production. It's called the Vanguard - The Malabar Front
For most revolvers I don't really see the need for the trigger holster since their double action triggers are pretty heavy, but for SA triggers like the 1911 or much lighter triggers like Glocks the added protection if it's being carried using a clipdraw or similar method is a good idea.

I carry a snubbie and I don't like the looks of that at all. There are enough uncertanties involved that I wouldn't stake my life on it, or the family jewels.

First of all, personally I wouldn't "Mexican Carry". Second, if you are going to use a trigger holster, why not use a complete holster?
