    Got my holsters

Well, my holsters from Kevin at K&D came in the mail today. Needless to say I was very excited when I realized what was in the box. I actually didn't see the box right away, it was sitting on the table in a plastic bag to protect it from the rain/snow we got today. That and I was a bit rushed after work and before a Scout meeting.

Anyway, the holsters look great. The quality is exactly what everyone said it would be and I am very satisified with them. I ordered a Cochise Defender and an Eagle Defender for my Glock 23. They are both black and look very nice. The battery on my digital camera is dead so I can't take pictures until tomorrow but I'll try and post some then.

Thanks to Kevin for the great work, it was well worth the wait.

6 Months!?!?! Holy Hannah, that's a long time to test something out.

Gotta make sure i like it and everything i don't think you can give a true rating on a holster till ya carry it about that long unless its a sometimes carry holster then it can be less

Bud's right - early impressions are not always the best. I can say tho with kevin's work - as I am sure I would with the other guy's work - an initial report may be good, but after several months - it'll be VERY good.

My eagle defender for the SIG is now a year old plus and still thrills me - such a delight to use. I hope and expect Tony you'll find the same.

Kevin emailed me a few adays ago and told me he finally got a pistol to use a a pattern for my holster, so it shouldn't be long now and I'll have a fancy new holster and belt.

    Tony,

Glad to hear you got your goods from Kevin!

I ordered on (or about) Jan. 16. In keeping with my on-going project to add "patience" to my "list of virtues," I did NOT call or write Kevin until a few days ago. Man, that was HARD!

We talked a while, and he said he should be working on mine, this week. Now, I'm all excited, just like a little kid waiting on Christmas!

So just maybe. . . I'll have my Laredo Defender for my G23 sometime next week. . . I hope! I hope! I hope!

Still have to work on that "patience" thing some more.

OK, sorry this is such a lousy picture. My digital camera isn't that good. The pic doesn't do the holsters justice by any stretch of the imagination.

Mike, I ordered my holsters on 1 Jan so you should be getting yours soon. They are worth the wait.

Worth the wait? Of that, I've NO doubt!

When I ordered my Laredo Defender and belt, I told Kevin about the review I'd read of that model, since it was instrumental in my decision making.

He told me that he actually prefers people using his holsters for quite a while before posting a review.

First impressions are usually going to be good, as a rule, but the gun has to "settle in" with the holster, the holster will kind of "settle in" with the new owner. Might need a little "tweak" here or there, maybe a slight change in your carry position, before you and the gun are really "at home" with the holster.

Heck YES, I'll post some pics as soon as I get mine! But after I've had time to get used to the holster and put some miles on it and the new belt, THEN I'll do a "proper" review of my own.

I think I ordered my 5th holster from him on Jan 16th, too! He called me the other day to tell me some Elephant skin came in he wanted to use on it. I'm going full out BBQ rig! Left the design and colors up to him - I'm so excited - its hard not calling him everyday! I don't know how he puts the hours in he does! Kudos to Kevin!!
