kahr mk9...will it fit in an MK40 holster?

Looking at buying a used holster for my new MK9 which should be arriving any day now.

Does anyone know if the MK9 will fit in an MK40 holster...are there size/dimensional differences that would impact interchangability?

EDIT:...and I guess for this matter, how about a used PM9/PM40 holster for my MK9? Would that work?

Of course, I'll look for the right holster, but more options is always better for finding deals.

They should fit your pistol as the 9mm and .40 S&W models are the same size in exterior dimensions, same frame size and everything save for the caliber obviously. The polymer models are a little thinner in the grip area as they do not require grip stocks, but that will not affect holster fit.
    God bless our troops!

Thanks - I'm glad to hear this. I figured they probably were.

The slides on the 40's are slightly thicker and taller than their 9MM counterparts. Consequently, if you get a holster that tightly fits a 9MM version, you'll have a heck of a time trying to stuff in a 40 and a real hard time trying to withdraw it.

hmmm...one against one now. One that I'm considering is a Sparks VM2. SInce these are custom, I'm betting the small differences would be noticeable in one of these.

That's a big 10-4. Kahr's website shows the 9mm slide width as .90" and the .40S&W as .94". Close but not the same.

However, the MK9 and PM9 slide width is the same.

I have a MK9 and K40 I often carry either one in the same holster I just buy the one for the longer barrel. I also have a PM-9 and a P-40 they can ride in some of the same holsters as the steel frames but not all.
