I carry a Ruger GP100 4" bbl and looking for a new holster. Don't care very much for "high ride" holsters but I do like thumb straps. Not very worried about concealment but would be a nice plus if I had to. Any suggestions? Thank you.
For belt wear I like my Desantis Speed Scabboard. Mine does not have the snap, though it is available. Very well made holster that won't dent your wallet and holds up very well. Great all around holster IMO
You might like the Bianchi Cyclone. Can be worn strong side or cross draw. Has a thumb snap. Isn't the best for concealment but isn't a big problem with the right cover garment. It's what I use for my GP100 when camping . http://www.bianchi-intl.com/product/Prod.php?TxtModelID=111
My favorite for wheelguns is the Kramer MSP paddle. One of the few paddle rigs made that actually hugs your body vs pushing away from it and I belive a thumb strap is an option. Another great rig is 5Shot's SAP. Here is a pic of mine for a "J" frame.
