I'm sure your dad will love it...it will hold lots of special meaning on several fronts...nice idea.

Mia/pow
Yeah, my mom's father was an MIA/POW in WWII for two years. Did atleast 4 death marches and escaped the day the war was over. Unreal.....
Also, Dad is a Vietnam Vet and he have/had family friends who were/are MIA/POW from Vietnam...
Thanks for your comment.
Take care!

Hey Dave, nice choice on the holster. That will make a great gift for quite a few reasons.
Glock 26 4gen, H&K USPc, S&W 642, Wilson Combat 1911 CQB

How cool...one custom holstermaker ordering from another!
Treat me good, I'll treat you better. Treat me bad, I'll treat you worse.

Dave,
From one holster maker to another, I was blown away that you asked me to make a holster for you, especially being so personal as a gift for your father. The meaning behind it, makes it even more special.
It's an honor to have made a holster for you and your father. It was also nice making a new friend in the process.
Best Regards
Rocky

That is really cool and a great present for your dad.
My problem is I just can't decide which one to order from Rocky.

Received it in the mail
I received the holster today!
The artwork is even better in person where the lines/curves of the carving can be felt. There is so much detail I honestly don't know how he has the patience to do such.
The fit of the gun is terrific. I don't think Dad will have any break-in time.
The finish is clean and very smooth. The boning on the back is exceptional and the stitching is terrific.
The only down was a smidgen of glue on the inside that I got out in the first five minutes of testing it for Dad!
I laid it down, next to my holster from Andy w/ Horseshoe Leather Products, and I have to say the quality of work is almost identical. And the quality of leather is the same. That is what first drew me to Andy's work...
Ironically, Rocky has been building holsters for less than a year now??
That's amazing!
So for those who are skeptical, I wouldn't worry... the holster is worth the price you pay.
Sorry no pics. My wife has our camera on vacation w/ her...
Thanks again Rocky!!!

You will like it.
I am VERY impressed w/ Rocky. We spent about 2hours talking tonight and he is a GREAT guy and I really like his work.
I wish my stuff, at 6 months of business, looked THAT good and was that well made, so to speak. At 6 months, I was still hand stitching. LOL.
Seriously, I am positive you will be happy. I am proud to be another maker that supports Rocky.
