Holster supplies - adjustable chicago screw
I'm trying to find what I can best describe as an adjustable Chicago screw.
It would be what you find on a magazine pouch that did not have a retention strap, but instead had this adjustable screw that allowed you to tighten the pouch to hold the magazine tighter.
Does anyone know if there is a more accurate name for this, and more importantly, where I might find them.
I've searched all the traditional leather supply sites that I can find.
Thanks.

Try it again and look for a "key post".

Are you possibly referring to a 'retention screw'?
I have a Galco double mag pouch (paddle) with the adjustable retention screw in the middle to tighten or loosen the hold on the mags.
"That I cannot do."

Sounds good. I just couldn't remember seeing what it was called anywhere.
Did a search on key post, and apparently they are called that as well.
Now, if someone could just tell me who supplies them.

They are just Chicago Screws. I would try Tandy Leather. You can to buy a dozen or so, and make sure you know the right size.

1/4, 3/8, 1/2. I know they have them in brass and silver. Maybe others.
Although it is possible that the adjustable screw on holsters and mag holders may be different

THanks for the ideas, but nothing so far.
Some people may just be using Chicago screws, but what I have and am looking for is not a Chicago screw.
Grainger and Knifekits don't have these either.
Retention screw or keypost seems to be the correct terminology.
Are there not some holster makers on here that use these?

Go here and look for Tee nuts,,,,countersunk finishing washers and flat socket cap screws.....
Make sure they all work together I would use either 6-32 or 8-32. I like the 8-32 myself.....
Problem now you have to buy more then you need...
Good luck....

Makes sense. I think I can find all of that at the local hardware.
Thanks.

Here's a link to McMaster Carr's catalog.
These are called nut plates and provide more adjustment than traditional chicago screws. You can use what ever length screws you need.
PM me if you don't want to buy in quantity.
