OK, OK, I know.
But still.
I'm looking for recommendations for decent concealed carry holsters for a Ruger Bisley Blackhawk, 5 1/2" barrel. Any pointers/pictures greatly appreciated.

Try MERNICKLE HOLSTERS they have some nice stuff for carrying SA. One of the guys at a local shop wears two, one crossdraw, he's been very happy with them.
Edit: This one might fit the bill. http://www.haugenhandgunleather.com/...UCT_ID=Model23
I have a .44 Super Blackhawk 4 5/8 barrel I've CC'd in a OWB soft nylon holster under my winter Carhart jacket. (But usually I OC that thing with a 3" leather gunbelt and leather holster.)

I own two rigs made by Tom Hancock of Texas Gunslinger Leather.
One in black for my 4 3/4" Colt Peacemaker:
and one in walnut for my 5 1/2" Ruger Bisley Vaquero:

Is that the only pistol you have? I know nothing about the San Juan islands.
Just a thought- SA from concealed isn't a hot idea, if the assailant is <25 yards away. If this is what you have to do, I'd highly recommend the steel frame, steel ejector rod housing and heavier ejector rod (I prefer the birdseye, but, hey...). If you have to club with it, its likely to be a club only, in short order. The alloy is strong, but won't stand up to grown men doing serious wrenching on it w/o deforming.
While you're at it, get a spare base-pin and latch assembly, as these would take a huge amount of force in a real free-for-all.
Edit to add- I'd be inclined to buy a sheet of Kydex, 2 belt loops, and make my own. It isn't hard, and only about $30 as opposed to the $80+ you'll spend on a custom-cut.
