Does it have any retention on your pistols?
I kinda like the concept but I would be worrried if there was no retention.

I think it's a great idea. It looks like a smartcarry, which I use often. And yes, a second gun is quicker than a reload, and if you have a problem with your primary, then you have a BUG. But a real sized BUG.

What's the big deal about him carrying two guns? It's just like a reload, except that you get a fresh mag and a fresh gun.

nice, too bad we can only hide 1 at a time here.

    Mirrored Pair

    .

I decided to carry two pistols after reading Massad Ayoob's
rationale for carrying two pistols. He convinced me. He also
mentioned Hickock and Earp's fondness for a mirrored pair
and his respect for that idea. These two Kahr's are very close
to a mirrored pair. Close enough. They handle the same, which
I really like. The second gun is a BUG in principle, even though it is the
same type. I would not pull both at one time.

His list of rationale for two guns --

    1. One gun may be taken away

    2. One gun may be unusable as it is the object of a struggle

    3. One gun may be empty

    4. One gun may malfunction

    5. One gun may be struck by an opponents bullet and rendered
    inoperable

    6. One gun can only arm one "good guy" at a time.

I'll add one of my own -- very few BG's expect one gun,
much less two, which is a corollary of Ayoob's #1 above

I really did not buy the crotch holster with twin carry in mind.
But it sure works. I'll use it until I come upon something better.
I'm thinking about getting a twin shoulder holster rig for cold
    weather.

    best, dxr

P.S. No twin moose-knuckle here, but that is hilarious !
