    Good 1.5 inch gun belt???

I need a gun belt. I have always used a standard belt. Besides tearing it up, the holster is not always the most secure that it can be. Need some serious advice.

A good gun belt is definitely a must for secure, comfortable carry. Personally, I like the Wilderness Instructor Belt.

    Beltman.

Go to www.thebeltman.net and don't look back. I have an elephant (1.25") and sharkskin (1.5") belt from them. Both incredibly well made and I experienced top notch customer service. I'm probably ordering a horsehide or another elephant (1.5") this week.

If leather is your style, then Beltman is hard to beat. If you're into the trendy look and feel of a more modern option, then the Wilderness Instructor's Belt is a solid contender.

I have a brown and black 1.5" bullhide from him, and they are both built like tanks.

Make sure you follow his measuring instructions carefully (Don't ask how I know that, LOL).

I just got a 1 1/2" from the Beltman this week. I am extremely pleased with it in every way.

The beltman has about a 45 day wait. I went with a Galco SB2. Very nice leather belt. Goes well with dress clothes. $59.00 at Optics planet. Ships same day. I also have a Wilderness instructor 5-stitch belt for the more casual clothes. It works real well.

I don't tuck so IMO the Wilderness is the best choice mainly cause it's so darn adjustable and secure.

I also have a Beltman belt, and it is FIRST Class, in every sense of the word. It does what it's advertised to do. More $$$, but well worth every penny.

Yea I wore leather for years and went to the Wilderness Frequent Flyer and love it. It is pretty casual so if you need to be dressed up it won't fit the bill. Since I retired, I'm a jeans and fatigue guy, works perfect for me.

Beltman and Sparks have made me happy. Not so happy with Wilderness. I guess I prefer leather. Much more stiff.

I got a Wilderness belt a couple months ago and I love it. I carried for several months with a pretty standard belt I got at Academy, and finally got to spend the money on a Wilderness belt. What a wonderful difference it made!! I really like their belts, but next I'm going to get a Beltman so I can wear it tucked without much looking funny.

At the time of my order, The Beltman had a 30 day wait. I placed my order then got an OK DeSantis 1.5" belt for around $20-25 at my local gun shop to get me through. The DeSantis will work, but it's not stiff and thick like the Beltman's superb product.
