LCP pocket carry...Do you chamber a round?
I just bought a new Ruger LCP and front pocket holster. This is my first pistol without a safety, and am a bit nervous about chambering a round and carrying in my pocket with no safety. At the same time, if I ever have a need to draw it, I would kinda like to have a round ready to go. What do you guys recommend? Chambered or unchambered?

The safety is between your ears! Chamber a round and keep it in a pocket holster with the trigger covered. When drawing, keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire. An unchambered, self defense firearm is pretty much useless if you need it in a hurry.

There is no point in having it, if it's not ready to use.

I pocket-carry my Kel Tek P3AT with a round chambered all the time. It takes some effort to pull the trigger on a DAO - you're incredibly unlikely to catch it on anything with enough force to pull it. Just be careful when you're putting it IN your pocket, but particularly if you use a pocket holster that covers the trigger, you should never have a problem.

I've been pocket carrying one since Dec.-it's always got one chambered. Use your head, keep the trigger covered, and you'll be fine.

Use a pocket holster...and always have one in the pipe!

Condtion One Only Way to Go. Confronted with a BG at 10 feet The extra time spent racking the slide could cost you your life. Be smart and be sensible and be safe. Make sure that if you have the recalled LCP that it has been fixed.

I have a Grendal P-10; grand daddy to the Kel-Tec that I have back pocket carried without a holster, always with a round chambered, for over 20 years; never had a problem.

I don't have a LCP but I keep one in the pipe with my PM9 for both pocket and IWB. I don't want to spend precious time chambering a round (especially with a PM9). As others have said, always use a good holster.

Any weapon, not just the LCP, is useless without a round in the chamber. Never assume that you'll have the time, or a free hand to chamber a round. I pocket carry an LCP, that trigger takes plenty to pull.

Absolutely one in the chamber!
With a good pocket holster that covers the trigger, plus the long DAO type trigger, you have nothing to worry about.
That's how I carry mine and IMO carrying unchambered will get you killed if the SHTF.
