That's a great looking holster. :image035:
Congrats! That rig looks great!
Great find, Congrats!!!
This is a real piece of art. I've heard lots of praise for Milt Sparks but, I could never say enough about the quality of this holster. I wore it around the house a bit this evening with some wax paper around my defender and it already fits really nice. Now I can't wait until my VM2 arrives. I ordered them in Feb. so according to their website it shouldn't be too much longer. My utmost complements to the Sparks team.:congrats:
Very nice looking holster. Is that some kind of exotic trim?
Thats a nice looking rig. Ive been thinking about getting a fancy holster for those special occasions. Congrats.
Very nice. That looks like it's trimmed in elephant? If so, I didn't know Milt Sparks offered that skin. I have two VMII's on order and wouldn't mind them trimmed like that.
It is elephant that it's trimmed in... It's only offered when available. I didn't order my VM2's that way because you'll never see it... I suppose that most will never see it on the Axiom but, I do :image035:.
Congrats on a great snag of a fine holster! When I saw your thread title, I was thinking Lightning Arms Sports (they're about that fast with any in stock Milt Sparks products).
These are my favorite OWB. I've got a 5 inch 1911 model just like it (elephant is what they showcase on the site, so I just had to order it that way).
To me the Axiom has a very similar feel to the VM-2 (my favorite IWB).
Not sure if they offer elephant on the VM-2 (you could call and check), but they do offer the Versa Max 2HS (horsehide w/shark trim and loops). I have 2 of these (5 inch and 3 inch 1911's) and love them. Worth checking out, these are my favorite IWB rigs. I think they'll allow that change right up until they begin the cut, couldn't hurt to call and check it out.

Thanks T Bone!
Yes, those look great in sharkskin. I've already had 3 VMIIs (sold two of the guns so only have one left now for my PM9) and they were/are all black, non exotic. I got lucky and picked mine up on the used market. I may change the skin on the two I have on order. They shouldn't be ready until late August. I've got an elephant skin beltman, so I'm hoping they have some of the elephant. Even though nobody sees it, it's still cool to go with a little exotic skin trim. There wouldn't be a market for fancy underwear if we didn't care what's on underneath. :embarassed:
I've also got a beavertail trimmed K&D Dakota Defender that looks really cool too. I'll get some holster porn up soon.
Uh-oh... I REALLY don't want to hijack avgeekjlb's thread :ahhhhh:... but I REALLY want to know about the VM-2 with the PM-9! I've been carrying my PM-9 more and more, almost exclusively in the Milt Sparks pocket holster. I have a horsehide (smooth out) Summer Special 2 on order for it, and recently ordered a Watch Six for it too, but considered the VM-2 at one point. How do you like the combination?

Back to the Axiom, avgeek, I think you got a great deal considering no waiting, I doubt it would have cost less through a stocking dealer. Glad to see something from MS that didn't go ridiculously high on eBay, it's a shame the private profiteers have caused MS to alter ordeing policies (and contributed to our wait time somewhat I'd imagine). Great looking holster!
Oh wait, can we every have to many holsters??? How many is enough??? Sorta like ammo.. and guns,... etc..
I'm really enjoying this thread now... Oh, and don't worry about hijacking this thread talking about VM2s T-Bone. I'm waiting on the VM2's to get here too :embarassed:. I am quickly becoming "holster poor" as it were.
Hi, my name is Jonathan and I'm a leather addict...
I'll post pics of the VM2's when they get here as well. One for me (Colt Defender) and one for my mom (Sig P232). I have a feeling that I'll have to take pics of her's before I give it to her or I won't be able to get my hands on it ever again... I tell you though that after getting my hands on the Axiom it's making the wait similar to a kid waiting on Christmas morning :santaclaus:.
