Ladies that use a shoulder holster?

Wondering if any of the ladies on here use a shoulder holster, and if so which ones you like? I mostly carry IWB, and have no issue with it. But I have been pondering the fact that there are days I am home all day (I am a stay at home mom) and was thinking a shoulder holster might be pretty comfy vs IWB. Also when the cooler weather hits it might be a nice alternative to IWB. NC is an open carry state as well so I will not sweat it if there's a peak. It's not the holsters that bug me so much as wearing a belt all the time, as before I got my CHL I never wore one. TIA.

I have yet to see any lady use a shoulder rig...real life, or TV!

    Limatunes' Shoulder Holster

And yes, she does use one, actually she has two, a Galco Classic Lite and a Galco Executive...I might be wrong on the second one...we got it right before we moved to IA.

My lady can't. In the above photos you can see how tall and lean Lima is (good for you girl). My lady is shaped more like an hourglass, and those curves get in the way for a shoulder holster. The gun has to go either over or under the breast, and it doesn't work for her. Too bad, because that's what she wants!

As AZ husker pointed out, depending on the shape and size of the body, you might have issues with a shoulder holster. They can be comfy but they can also get in the way, depending on what you are doing.

Dealing with a kid, IWB or OWB works so much better.

My husband, JD, already posted a link to the write-up I did about shoulder holsters. I hope that helps you out.

That was helpful, thanks. I do have kids, 4 actually, but they are past the age of being carried and picked up so not so worried about that aspect. I think I will try one, it's not the end of the world if it doesn't work out. I think I will not really know unless I try one, or a few. Thanks again.

Sure you could carry in a shoulder rig.

You might want to wait until Alessi Holsters gets rolling again since their BodyGuard line of great leather shoulder rigs feature a "pull through retention system" that has no retention strap that needs to be unsnapped before drawing the firearm. You just grab the gun and pull.

My wife used a belly band, until her pregnancy forced her to stop carrying altogether (she couldn't tolerate the elastic around her belly anymore as her belly got larger).

With an LCP and a spare mag, it made for a flat and easily concealed package. Lots of options regarding exactly where and how high or low to wear it.

If you have not tried one, may be worth a look - they're relatively inexpensive, too.
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.
