I live in Glendale and they did not have one that fit me just right off the shelf. The 36 was a bit small the 38 was a bit long so they made me one up on the spot. Took about 15 minutes if I remember correctly. I know I went in on my lunch break and made it back to work on time. It is very convenient to live close buy. Just a few miles south of Robar
    Good luck, Mike

That's the variant I wear. I have some back issues and was surprised at how much it helped me. I think if you have some back or weight distribution issues it's worth it, but the 5 stitch is plenty tough.

5 Stitch here, its my favorite belt, oh and you can also use the buckle in an emergency to tie a line to. I think the belt has an 8000 lb strength rating?

    Anyway, I love mine.

I alternate between the 1.5" 5 stitch instructor's belt (steel buckle) and the 1.5" 5 stitch frequent flyer belt (plastic ring buckle, metal detector friendly!). Both of them comfortably hold my gun and mags, but I think I'll be sending the instructor's belt back for some new velcro - after a couple of years it has gotten a little frayed. I actually like the frequent flyer belt a bit more - I don't really have a need to be able to belay someone, rappel, or hook into a moving vehicle, and the rings don't pinch as much as the other buckle when sitting in a car or airplane seat for hours on end.

I wear one every single day and I really like it. I wear it with my IWB and without. In fact I have a 37" long 1 3/4" wide black Original Instructors Belt in the Member's For Sale Section that I wore for 2 weeks I am selling at a discount.

Best belt I have ever owned - for carrying a gun or otherwise.

Thanks for the info, and I bet that 37" belt will be long gone before I ever see 37" again!!!

Have two(one brand new still in bag)and they're great. Will hold up either my Glocks or Colt 1911's with no problem. Highly recommend them!
